2019 Government of Ireland International Scholarships at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland

 The purpose of the GOI-IES system for 2019 is to reflect the commitment of Ireland to target partner nationsThe system operates in the higher education industry and is financed in collaboration between the government and the institutions of higher education (HEIs).

Scholarships will be marked as prestigious prizes that reflect the key messages regarding Ireland as an global education center. It is expected that for every scholarship
winner, awareness of Ireland will be raised among many more potential students.
Trinity College Dublin offers a number of scholarship opportunities for prospective and current students interested in study or research at Ireland’s leading university. Since its foundation in 1592, Trinity College Dublin has sought to assist students of limited means and reward academic achievement. Students are always urged in their home nations to explore external financing alternatives.
Worth of Award
  • The HEA will award a scholarship fund to the student (through the HEI that the student is attending) amounting to €10,000 for one study year. This fund is directed at supporting student costs and living expenses. The scholarship may be for:
  • the final year of an undergraduate programme;
  • one year of a taught master degree programme or;
  • one year of a research programme (i.e. one year of a 2-year research masters or a 3-4 year PhD programme).
  • Trinity would provide a full tuition fee waiver to successful students for the specified scholarship year (i.e. tuition fee and registration charge are waived).
  • It is expected that a total of 60 scholarships will be funded by the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships for the academic year 2019/2020 across all participating Irish Higher Education Institutions.
Eligibility:
  • The government of Ireland International Scholarships are awarded to high calibre students from non-EEA countries to study in Ireland for a period of one year.
  • Applicants must have a domiciliary of origin1 not equal to the EU/EEA or
    Switzerland
  • Scholarships may be approved for study across all disciplines, subject to
    the availability of places.
  • Candidates should:
  • Possess excellence (academically, personally, professionally, creatively);
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Possess strong rationale for pursuing their study in Ireland that indicates
    how a GOI-IES fits into their longer-term goals
How to Apply
  • Applicants are required to be in possession of a conditional or final offer for admission to Trinity at the time of application for the scholarship and will be required to submit a copy of the same.
  • Applications should be submitted by the individual student applicants and not by host Institutions.
  • The application should be submitted via the provided link .
  • Any questions regarding the call for applications should be submitted to goi-ies@hea.ie no later than 28 February 2019.
  • The answer to all questions received will be posted on www.EurIreland.ie website.
Deadline: The deadline for applications by students is 17.00 Irish time on Friday, March 29, 2019.
